- Crews pull tack strips, scrape staples, and sweep the subfloor clean before the new floor goes down.
- Homes built before 1985 may have asbestos-backed vinyl or mastic. We pause and arrange a certified abatement contractor before continuing. Safety first, always.
- You can - but most DIY removals miss the staples, leaving a lumpy subfloor that voids the new-floor warranty. Our removal-plus-install bundle is usually cheaper than the rework.
