FloorScore measures indoor air emissions from finished flooring - adhesives, finishes, and the floor itself. If you care about VOCs and air quality, this is the badge to look for.
GreenGuard Gold is the stricter sibling: same emissions framework, but tested for schools and healthcare facilities. Lower allowable concentrations.
FSC and PEFC certify the forest the wood came from - sustainable harvest, fair labor, biodiversity. They don't measure what's in your air at home. They measure what happened in the forest.
