Background-checked
Move what you can. We move furniture as part of the install, but if you've already moved knickknacks, electronics, and rugs, the crew can start the actual floor an hour sooner.
Take photos of every wall before the appliances come out. You will want them. Trust us.
Plan to be out of the house for the loudest parts. Tile demo and hardwood sanding are unbearable to live around.
Acclimate hardwood. If you bought wood for a custom job, leave the boxes in the room for 5–7 days before install. Don't open them.
Decide on transitions in advance. T-molds, reducers, and thresholds get installed at the end. If you haven't picked them, the install isn't actually done.
Tip in cash if you tip. Most installers don't take card.
Tell us about your pets. We will keep doors closed and bathroom doors open as needed - but only if we know.
Save the leftover boxes. Six months from now, a corner gets damaged and you'll need exactly one plank. The matching dye lot is in the boxes you almost threw out.
