Most homeowners spend $3 to $8 per square foot for installed sheet vinyl in 2024 - about $240 to $640 for a 80 sq ft half-bath. Sheet vinyl is the cheapest finished floor you can buy and the best waterproof option for small wet rooms.

Subfloor prep

Sheet vinyl vs LVP - when to pick which

Pick sheet vinyl for spaces under 100 sq ft, anywhere you need a continuous waterproof surface (laundry rooms with floor drains, basement bathrooms), and the lowest possible budget. Pick LVP for everywhere else - kitchens, basements, whole-home installs - where the seam-free advantage matters less than the warmer, more dimensional look.
